Q14.    I downloaded Mac FlipAlbum, but all I see is a file called macfa30.tar.gz. How do I open it?

Answer:

Please ensure that you are running Mac OS 10.1.5 or above.

The downloaded file, macfa30.tar.gz is a compressed installer file. Double click on it to uncompress it. It should then open in Stuffit Expander which is included with Mac OS X.

If you are unable to open it by double clicking, please launch Stuffit Expander manually by going into Applications/Utilities/Stuffit Expander. Once you launch Stuffit Expander, go to File->Expand and select the macfa30.tar.gz file.

Q15.    After uncompressing the macfa30.tar.gz file, all I get is a folder called FlipAlbum and a file called install.pkg within it. How do I install?

Answer:

To install, double-click on install.pkg. The Mac OS X installer utility should launch and prompt you for an Administrators password. Please note that this is the password for the Administrator user on the computer, and is not related to FlipAlbum. Once you have entered the password, you will be able to install the software.

If double clicking on install.pkg does not automatically launch the installer, please launch it manually by going to Applications/Utilities/Installer. Once you have launched Installer, please select install.pkg and select “Open”.

Q16.    When installing, I receive an error that says, “There were errors installing this software. Please try installing again.”

Please disable any anti-virus software and try the installation again. Should the problem persist, or if you do not have any anti-virus software installed, please contact us for additional assistance at supportmac@ebooksys.com.
